Although I think it's a good 5E-based game design and I like the movie tie-in structure, this article on ENWorld has convinced me to bail on any interest in their products. If Evil genius Games is going to play this sort of game, then I think its safe to say they are already too far down the rabbit hole, and even if they were otherwise purely innocent, this effort to contribute to the modern day zeitgeist of attacking the press is pure garbage, and I will not support it.
What a weird story! The vague boilerplate email from a Gmail account, the apparent change of heart regarding legal action...I backed Everyday Heroes and like the book quite a bit, but I had no idea this was a thing with EGG until right now.
ReplyDeleteMost importantly, though...I can't figure out what that **** is in your title...
Hah! It's the Cory Doctorow-coined term: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enshittification
