Mutants & Marvels 2nd Edition is out!

Tom Doolan mentioned he planned A 2nd edition, and it's already in the wild: check it out here on rpgnow in both PDF and print. I haven't had a chance to pick up the 2nd edition yet (I had bought 1E in print) but plan to do so soon.....if you'd like to see a FASERIP/D20 system hybrid that is very easy to use, this is a game worth your time to check out. I am intrigued to see what changes Tom has made!

  1. Thanks again for the plug! It should be noted that if anyone bought the first edition PDF, they can download 2.0 for free. I think you'll like the expansions for 2.0. Some changes in how combat works, a lot of additional rules and info, and slightly tweaked variation of the d20 mechanic. I'm pretty stoked about this version.

    1. I missed that! Now downloaded.....for those not sure where to look, go into your Library tab and search for M&M 1st....it's a file labeled _2_ at the end. I'll have a follow-up review soon.

    2. Weird: after I loaded it via the library it now shows as owned for the 2.0 entry.

    3. That sounds right. For the PDF, 2.0 was published as updated file, rather than a new game. I figured since the time between the two editions was so short, it would be unfair to ask people to who bought the first version to buy the whole game again. The way I saw it, the first version was a playtest version. 2.0 has a lot of stuff that was a direct result of feedback received.

  2. It would be nice if the previews had some content besides the credits and a blank page. How can someone get interested in a game if there's no meat to preview?

    2. And fixed. :) I think this two-page preview is actually the perfect way to let readers know what it's all about. Thanks for the tip!

    3. Awesome! I made a post about it on this facebook group that discusses all kinds of superhero rpgs. I posted a link to it on the game's facebook page, so feel free to join it and let us know more about the game

And yes, the preview is much better. Now I'm tempted to get a copy
